For much of my life, I started my day off by waking up and automatically thinking about what I had on for the day. This generally involved the various things I saw as problems in my life. For example, the email I had to send, the meetings I had to attend, the people I had to see, the traffic I had to be in… you get the picture. These problems then unconsciously led me to corresponding feelings. Feelings of worry, anger, frustration, fear and anxiety.
Essentially, my entire state of being, (how I thought and how I felt) was not only in the past but was negative in its nature. It is no wonder that my life seemed to repeat itself day after day, month after month, year after year. My thinking was a record of the past and I unknowingly created the same results for myself… but… there is good news. I worked out it does not have to stay that way.
When we become intentional in what we think, intentional in switching our brain from being a record of the past to a map to the future, we can use our mind to work in our favour. Put our creative energy into what we want to be, who we want to become, the life we want to live. There is power in this!

There are 4 steps:
1. Know what you want
Sometimes getting the right answer is about asking the right question. We need clarity on what we really want out of life. Only then can we live intentionally to have the business, family and spiritual life we desire.
You have the option to live your life by design or default. To succeed, have definiteness of purpose and a burning desire to possess it.
2. Belief and expectation
There are millions of people who believe the effects of their life to be the cause. Millions of people wishing to change the circumstances of their life but not believing in their power to do so.
Have faith in yourself! Faith in your potential! Faith you can turn things around! Allow faith to be the dominating thought in your mind! Believe that you can achieve the definite purpose of your life!
3. Plan with persistence
We all have goals… we all have dreams but sadly this is where most people stop. In order to move towards our dreams, we need to plan and take action. Movement without order will result in chaos. Consider the plan to move towards your desire and aim to act with unwavering persistence. If you fall down, get back up. A quitter never wins and a winner never quits!
4. Take Action
Procrastination is a common enemy which must be overcome through action. Good intentions will get you nowhere, we must go from good intentions to action and in many cases, we must do this afraid.
Whether you are a success or failure in life has little to do with your circumstances; it has much to do with your choice to take action. So get going and remember, all things are difficult until they become easy!
